    Dr. Nam earned a B.S. from the U. of Illinois at Chicago in forensic science and started a biotech diagnostic research career with Abbott Laboratories Diagnostic Div. where he developed several immunoassays for therapeutic drug monitoring and drugs of abuse. 

    He attended South Baylo University in Anaheim and earned a 4-year Master degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in 1997. He received a Dean's Award for excellent academic achievement and Student Council participation.
